We seek every opportunity to enact changes that offer meaningful gains in children’s learning. Research shows that terms of 8-10 weeks in length without excessively long breaks in between favour inquiry-based learning outcomes, as well as retention of knowledge and skills. For this reason, our School’s summer holidays are shorter and our academic year begins much earlier than most Uruguayan schools.
