We’re only just

getting started.

The Garzón School’s three-year strategic plan sets out key focus areas for the School’s multifaceted development in 2023—2025.

1. Teaching & Learning

The Garzón School will develop curricula, ensure professional development of its staff and evaluate the impact of its programs in a way that is coherent with its mission and vision.

  • Establish a clear conceptual framework that informs and drives curricular development for elementary, middle and high school in alignment with the School’s mission and culture of learning.

  • Develop tools and frameworks to ensure the continuous evaluation and assessment of TGS programs, and their impact on both students and the wider community.

  • Set clear objectives for all learners and establish a community-wide understanding of the culture of learning at TGS.

  • Guarantee pathways for professional development and growth for all TGS staff, in alignment with the School’s mission and values.

2. Support & Operational Systems

The Garzón School will set clear strategies, establish policies and ensure adequate communications with internal and external stakeholders to provide support and ensure successful operations in alignment with its mission and vision.

  • Design and implement communications strategies to engage internal and external stakeholders in ways that authentically reflect the School’s identity.

  • Establish robust policies that support healthy and sustainable learning, operations and governance of the School, including mechanisms to ensure the recruitment, retention and onboarding of all School staff.

3. Partnerships & Community

  • Build strong partnerships with other schools and universities, research agencies and non-governmental organisations to learn and promote best practices in pedagogy, professional development, learning opportunities and education innovation.

  • Ensure that the TGS community continues to grow by working with our families and their children, as well as local stakeholders and organisations, in ways that nurture a healthy social and learning culture.

The Garzón School will establish local and international partnerships, associations and communications to strengthen its community and advance its mission and vision.

4. Facilities & Institutional Development

  • The School’s mission and vision are clearly communicated.

  • Attain and maintain national and international accreditation standards of recognition or merit to ensure that TGS students and graduates will be able to continue their education in Uruguay or abroad.

  • Secure the funds necessary to build and sustain the TGS campus on Ruta 104 in alignment with the School’s aspirations and educational goals.

  • Safeguard the financial health and economic sustainability of the School.
